A huge congratulations to the formidable team of Darren McCracken and Jason Andrewartha who claimed the 2018 Men’s Pairs title against the youth-filled combination of Nick Cahill and Kurt Brown. The game was tight all day with the green running at a slick pace making every shot possible to play for the teams. By the final end, the score was deadlocked at 19-19. A front resting toucher from McCracken with his 3rd bowl of the end had the Cahill/Brown team playing difficult shots to manoeuvre short bowls and remove it. With Andewartha covering with both bowls and two close misses by Brown mean’t that the championship title headed to McCracken and Andrewartha. This is also Jason’s second club title along with the 2018 Men’s Singles title this season.

The club wishes the best of luck to the boys who will compete in representation of Across The Waves at the 2018 District Champion of Champion Pairs this weekend (Saturday 2nd June – Sunday 3rd June).
